Cllr Sarah Bennett-Wake’s responsibilities at Cheshire East Council include the scrutiny of policies concerning Children & Families, Cared for and Care Leavers as well as Planning. She is an advocate for child centred, inclusive education. Sarah believes that all care leavers and all families deserve to have a home that best suits their needs.
As a Macclesfield Town Councillor, Sarah sits on the Services Committee and the Personnel Committee and serves as a Community Champion, helping to connect residents with local initiatives and support networks.
As a Director and Acting Manager of ‘The Green in the Corner’ Community Interest Company, Sarah volunteers and leads community programmes which focus on inclusion, combating social isolation and improving health and well-being.
Her work across these organisations reflects her commitment to creating welcoming, supportive spaces for local residents.
