Cllr Sam Corcoran is the Council’s Environment and Climate Change Champion, promoting work on sustainability and reducing the borough’s carbon footprint. Under his leadership Cheshire East Council more than halved its carbon footprint and planted more than 100,000 trees on council land. He also sits on the Adults Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority Audit and Governance Committee.
Cllr Sam Corcoran is Mayor of Sandbach Town Council, supporting civic life and representing the town at key events. He works closely with the town council’s Finance, Policy & Governance Committee, providing oversight of the council’s financial management and strategic direction.
Sam chairs the Cheshire Pension Fund which administers pensions for schools and local authorities across Cheshire and has over £7bn of assets under management.
Sam is active in several community organisations including Churches Together in Sandbach, the Sandbach Almshouses Trust, and the South Cheshire and North Staffs Co-operative Party.
