Cllr Ken Edwards has been active in Bollington’s civic and local life for many years, previously being a Bollington Town councillor, a County Councillor and serving as the Mayor of Bollington.
Ken has always fought for his community, believing that the local voice must always be listened to and taken into account. He has worked hard to ensure Bollington’s green belt surroundings were maintained and that the town had control over its Town Hall, Civic Hall and Library.
Ken said, ‘I have had two really proud moments while working in Bollington. The first was providing the opportunity for a new set of allotments on the hillside in sight of White Nancy. The second was the opening in 2018 of the new playing fields in Bollington Cross. It’s been a pleasure to see so many children enjoying the thrills and spills of ‘the beautiful game’ at Bollington United Football Club.
‘Thank you to everyone who helps to make this town the great community it aspires to be.’
