Cllr Fiona Wilson is actively involved in the oversight and scrutiny of a wide range of Cheshire East Council’s policies and performance.
Fiona is closely involved in the Council’s Economy & Growth and Corporate Policy service areas, and she is Chair of the Council’s Appointments Committee and Vice‑Chair of the Northern Planning Committee.
Fiona is also the Council’s Councillor Safety Champion, where she ensures that councillors feel safe in their community role.
As a Macclesfield Town Councillor, Fiona is Chair of the Personnel Committee and Vice‑Chair of the Services Committee, helping to oversee staffing, community services, parks, events, and neighbourhood improvements. She also serves as the Town Centre and Regeneration Champion, working with partners to support economic, cultural, and environmental benefits for Macclesfield’s town centre. Fiona was Mayor of Macclesfield in 2022-23 and her Mayoral Theme was Our Community Stronger Together.
Fiona has lived in Macclesfield South for more than 25 years and brings extensive professional experience from her work in housing, industrial relations, research, and economic policy. She is deeply involved in community life, volunteering at Macclesfield parkrun, and is a season ticket holder at Macclesfield Football Club.
