Cllr Brian Puddicombe is Chair of Cheshire East’s Strategic Planning Board. In this role, he leads the committee responsible for major planning applications and strategic development decisions across the borough.
Brian also works closely with Cheshire East Council’s Children and Families service area, contributing to oversight of children’s services, safeguarding, and support for care‑experienced young people.
Brian also represents Cheshire East on two key outside bodies: the regional adoption panel and the Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE). Brian is also the safeguarding Governor at Ivy Bank Primary School in his ward. These roles reflect his commitment to children’s welfare, inclusive education, and strong community values.
Brian is actively involved in Macclesfield community life where he volunteers at the parkrun and supports Macclesfield Football Club.
