Cllr Ben Wye is the Council’s Active Travel Champion, a role in which he has worked to strengthen leadership and capacity around sustainable transport. Cheshire East has recently been promoted to Level 2 for Active Travel, reflecting this progress.
Ben serves on the Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Strategic Planning Board. He also represents the Council on the Cheshire East Countryside Access Forum.
As a Crewe Town Councillor, Ben brings the same commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community wellbeing to Crewe. He volunteers at the Crewe Heritage Centre where he leads inclusive heritage walks, showcasing Crewe’s history, identity and potential while encouraging residents to explore their town in new ways.
Ben also collects foodbank donations at St Paul’s Church, helping to support local families.
