Cllr Anna Burton has a wide remit at Cheshire East Council, including scrutiny of Economy & Growth, Highways & Transport and Planning.
Anna is the Council’s Food Poverty Champion and has spent many years supporting vulnerable households across the borough. She also sits on the All Together Fairer Commission which looks to create healthy places and tackles the root causes of inequality like poverty, housing, education and transport.
Anna also sits on the Council’s Farm Review working group, which is working to scrutinise and refresh the Farms Service Policy as part of the Council’s Rural Action Plan.
As a Nantwich Town Councillor, Anna is Chair of the Finance committee and plays an active role in supporting the town’s event and strengthening local collaborations. In addition, she is active with senior citizens and the Nantwich Partnership.
Anna is a trustee of the Nantwich Youth and Community Centre (NYCC), supporting programmes that provide safe spaces, activities, and opportunities for young people and the wider community. Her community work reflects a strong commitment to community empowerment and practical support for residents.
